I have absolute confidence the Trump-Vance Administration will be ready to govern effectively on Day One.” The full list of members includes Linda McMahon and Howard Lutnick, both serving as co-chairs, along with running mate JD Vance, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump serving as honorary chair members. Lutnick hosted a fundraising event for Trump earlier this month, according to The Hill. McMahon is the co-founder of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) with her husband Vince McMahon. By Dillon Burroughs Photo: Alamy The Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley highlighted that 24 Republican attorneys general have filed a motion to the Supreme Court to stop non-citizens from voting in the 2024 presidential election. Whatley shared the update during an interview with Fox Business News host Maria Bartiromo on Friday. “We had a great motion yesterday that was filed by 24 Republican attorneys general from across the country in support of our lawsuit in Arizona to ensure that illegal immigrants are not allowed to vote,” he stated. “It’s a very important premise that non-citizens are not able to vote in this election cycle, so we were very excited to see 24 Republican attorneys general stand up and file that brief with the Supreme Court to defend our action in Arizona,” Whatley added. The RNC filed an emergency application for a stay pending appeal in the Supreme Court in the case involving the Supreme Court in Arizona regarding the need to enforce proof of citizenship requirements in the presidential election. “Requiring proof of citizenship is common sense and fundamental to preserving the integrity of our elections – especially in our country’s most important presidential election,” Whatley said in a statement announcing the application. “This application in the Supreme Court is pivotal to ensuring that Arizonans’ votes are not cancelled by non-citizens. Non-citizen voting is illegal and we are taking every possible action to ensure American elections are decided solely by Americans,” he continued. The RNC won a case that defended the law’s citizenship verification provisions in federal court. The court later prevented Arizona from enforcing the documentary proof of the citizenship requirements. The committee appealed the ruling to the 9th Circuit. It also applied for a stay in the U.S. Supreme Court to allow Arizona to enforce its proof of citizenship requirements. Arizona GOP Chair Gina Swoboda also spoke out on the matter in a July statement from the RNC. “Our election outcomes must reflect the voices of American voters. Any vote cast by a non-citizen dilutes those votes and risks silencing those voices. This is a very real problem in Arizona and we are committed to resolving it. The AZGOP and the RNC are engaging at every level to ensure our elections properly reflect the will of Arizona voters,” she wrote. By Lauren Bratton Photo: Alamy President Donald Trump’s support of school choice has become an important issue in the 2024 presidential race, according to a new op-ed from a leading educational expert. In an opinion piece for the New York Post, senior fellow at the American Federation for Children and school choice advocate Corey DeAngelis wrote, “The difference between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in November could not be clearer when it comes to education.” DeAngelis pointed out that Trump believes parents should decide where their children attend school and that the money should go with the child, wherever they choose. He cited a May Truth Social post in which Trump wrote, “As I have long said, School Choice is the CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE of our time, and parents must have a voice in their child’s education! When I am your President again, I will protect Parental Rights, support Teachers, and expand Educational Freedom for all American Families!” Trump also named DeAngelis “A FIGHTER for Parental Rights.” He recommended DeAngelis’ book, “The Parent Revolution,” as a “great guide to help Moms and Dads take back control of their children’s education from the RADICAL MARXISTS ruining our schools.” DeAngelis recounted how teachers’ unions fought against reopening schools during the pandemic. He also emphasized that remote learning revealed the level of far-Left indoctrination being taught to students. In a USA Today interview with Jon Valant, director at the Brown Center on Education Policy at the Brookings Institution, Trump’s leadership in school choice was also highlighted. “President Trump supports universal school choice so that parents can send their children to the public, private, or religious school that best suits their needs, their goals, and their values… President Trump commends Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Oklahoma, Utah, and West Virginia for leading the American school choice revolution – and he looks forward to working with other states, as well as the U.S. Congress, to provide for universal school choice for every American family,” he said. Parents began demanding school choice nationwide during the COVID-19 pandemic as videos and schoolwork went viral on social media. DeAngelis noted that school choice has advanced more over the last three years than the last 30 years. Meanwhile, Harris is all-in with teachers’ unions and supports their far-left radical policies. Shortly after stepping up as the presumptive nominee after President Joe Biden’s sudden exit, Harris spoke at the American Federation of Teachers convention. She called the union’s president, Randi Weingarten, “a force” and an “adviser.” Weingarten was a predominant voice during the pandemic fight that kept children from returning to school, including lobbying the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to keep schools shut down.
